A deposit bonus is arithmetic, and arithmetic can be checked before you accept. The headline says a percentage; the terms say a cap, a minimum, a turnover and a time limit. Put together, those four determine what you actually receive and what you must do to withdraw it. GT99 showed a First Deposit banner on 5 November 2026 without terms, so this page teaches the calculation using hypothetical numbers.
The parts of a match offer
A deposit match has a percentage, a minimum qualifying deposit, a maximum bonus and a turnover condition. A "50 percent up to 1,000" offer, for instance, gives half of your deposit as a bonus, but never more than 1,000, so a deposit above 2,000 gains nothing extra. These are illustrative figures to show the method.
On the GT99 banner the percentage and cap were not visible, so you must read them in your account.
A worked example
Suppose the offer is a 50 percent match up to 1,000 with turnover of 10 times the bonus. You deposit 1,500. The bonus is 50 percent of 1,500, which is 750, under the cap. Turnover required is 10 times 750, which is 7,500 of total stakes before bonus winnings can be withdrawn.
| Item | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit | Your payment | 1,500 |
| Bonus | 50 percent of 1,500 | 750 |
| Turnover required | 10 times the bonus | 7,500 |
| If turnover covers deposit plus bonus | 10 times (1,500 plus 750) | 22,500 |
Why the turnover base matters
The last row shows the trap. If the terms apply turnover to deposit plus bonus, the required total triples compared with bonus alone. The headline percentage is identical in both cases. Always find the line that defines the base, and then run the sum before you accept.
The mechanics of turnover are developed in wagering requirements.
Practical checks before depositing
Decide whether the bonus must be selected before payment, note the minimum, and check which games count. If you plan to play low-contribution games, the real turnover is longer. The payment sequence is in the deposit guide, and the first-time context is on the welcome bonus page. The blog explainer on first deposit bonuses covers the general format.

Percentage, minimum, cap and turnover from the terms.
- 2Run the sum
Calculate the bonus and the turnover on the stated base.
- 3Compare with your budget
